The Community Knot is a multi-family housing project that explores the possibility of a “small community” within the dense residential fabric of Jeju City. Rather than maximizing the number of units, the design focuses on enhancing the relationships among residents and enriching the quality of daily life, while harmonizing with the pedestrian-friendly scale of the surrounding neighborhood.

The building is composed of three interlocking volumes organized around a central courtyard, allowing each unit to receive ample daylight and natural ventilation. Each residence integrates indoor spaces with private terraces, while flexible interior layouts accommodate diverse lifestyles through minimal partitioning.

The exterior features warm beige stone finishes and rhythmically arranged openings that blend seamlessly with the adjacent housing while maintaining a refined architectural presence. The arched windows and terraces on the upper levels capture Jeju’s gentle sunlight, giving the façade a soft and welcoming expression.

Ultimately, the Nohyong-dong Apartment Complex reinterprets urban living as an architecture that narrows the distance between people, offering an experimental model for shared residential life within the city.
